URGENT:
Please Pray
-
TIMOTHY ORISSA PASTOR ARRESTED:
Pastor Jay writes, "One Orissa Pastor by name
S.Mahapatra is a Brahmin convert. He studied at Timothy
school 3 years ago. Now his wife is at the Timothy school.
He was trying to bring 15 Timothy students. His own brother
is a Hindu. His Hindu brother went to the police station and
complained “S.Mahapatra is taking Hindu Orissa students to
Tamilnadu and he is forcing them to become Christians. He is
kidnapping the tribal people and selling them in Tamilnadu”.
He put a case that he was kidnapping and selling their
kidneys. There were 15 Orissa students in the police
custody in Orissa. God has answered our prayers!
Now they are on bail. So please do pray for
them. He is a good Christian man".
-
BURMA TIMOTHIES DETAINED: Pastor
Jay writes, "We have about 100 students in the Timothy
church planting school now. This year we have 10 students
from Burma neighboring country. They went to the market on
Saturday and they never came back to the Promised Land. They
took wrong bus and end up in another city in another
District about 100 kilometers away. They have been taken to
the police station by some Orthodox Hindus as terrorists. So
this created much problem to rescue them and it consumed
much money on our side."
-
TIMOTHY SCHOOL SUPPORT DOWN: A USA
church who was the
main
supporter of the Timothy School had to drop support suddenly
due to its own financial difficulties. Pastor Jay
writes, "Jesus never told the disciples beforehand 'go and
bring water, I want to change the water into wine' but He
just told them to bring water. The water became wine
in obedience to His command. He needs only two fish
and five bread (it was not too small for Jesus) to feed 5000
people. It was not too late for Jesus to raise up
Lazarus, even if he was buried three days ago. He
created everything out of nothing. So He will do the
needful. The Lord will make a way for the Timothy
School because one soul is greater than the whole world.
"I lift my eyes up to the hills, where does
my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the
maker of heaven and earth." Psalms 121:1-2 The
Lord will do a miracle for us. Let us trust and pray
for a miracle".
-
VISAS
DENIED: The Dutch team
coming to ICMC in August were denied visas to India.
The government surmised they were coming for the All India
Pastors Conference and refused entrance to them.
Pastor Jay wrote an appeal. They were denied a second
time. They have a personal interview with the
consulate to plead their case on July 26. (Our
US pastor Scott Bloyer had to sign a release to the Indian
consulate saying he would not preach to anyone anywhere in
India in order to get his visa). Please pray they get
visas or we can find effective US Pastors to speak at the
conference. 2000 pastors have already registered.
-
KOREAN
VISITORS QUESTIONED:
Two of the young visiting Korean girls from the United
Nations team wandered off from their team in the market.
They could not speak Tamil of course, and were brought to
the Police Commissioner, who detained and questioned them.
It created a big issue in the press, as suspected terrorists
coming under the cover of social work, and much work for
ICMC to get them out.

All India
Pastors Conference Will Draw 4,000 Pastors
Imagine
thousands of pastors from every state in India. Traveling
for days by train. Willing to sleep on mats outside all
over the grounds of the Promised Land. Mostly poor
pastors, relying on God by faith for daily needs and strength
from constant persecution. Now gathered together to
worship Almighty God together. To encourage each other.
To get much needed training and teaching.
ICMC
is hosting it's eighth All India Pastors Conference in August.
Between 4000 - 5000 pastors from all over India will come to be
trained and encouraged for four days at the Promised Land.
It is a huge event. Bicycles, Bibles, tambourines, and
other needed church planting "equipment" are also given away.
Timothy students trained to plant churches in their villages
return for updates and encouragement. Please PRAY for
visas (that have been denied) for the speakers from Holland.
Please PRAY for the rest of the funds to hold the event.
Please PRAY for effective teaching, safe travel, and refreshment
for these pastors.

Why My Father Started ICMC
by J. Basil Bright
My
father (Rev. Dr. S. Jayaraj Krishnan)
started an orphanage called ICMC with 12
orphans in 1988, and now we have more than
1600 children. The reason he started this
orphanage because he himself was an orphan
who lost his father and mother at a very
early stage of his life and later on, he
lost is younger brother and his elder
sister, a year later. It was a time when my
father’s grant father took my father to a
Hindu priest who was a palmist. After
reading my father palm, the palmist stated
that “This boy is a curse for the whole
family and is the root cause for the deaths
of his family members, in order to remove
the curse; he must be killed”...
Our vision is not only
to feed the orphans and the poor but also to
give them the Big Fish ‘JESUS CHRIST’ who
can change their lives. The orphans feel the
love of Christ when you Christian people
visit them and show the love of Christ to
them through you friendship.
I, myself
(Bright) had a great opportunity to play with
them and to love them as a brother in Christ. It
gives me a great joy to make them feel that they
are taken care of and to make them laugh. The
children in our orphanages are hated by the
world and by their parents. Some don’t have both
their parents and some are prisoner’s children,
prostitute’s children, leprosy’s children, and
so on. We provide shelters for the widows and
their children. We do all these because we love
our neighbor as ourselves... Click

Nandri Bharat (Thanks, India)
by
Richard B.
Lawson March 2007
India began for
me at 4:00 am in a Chennai
Hotel. At that early hour I tried to
figure out how to use the shower. Pull up on
the bar, right? It didn't work, so, towel in
hand, I went out into the hallway to knock
on the
next door where Tim and Jan were staying..
Slam! The door shut behind me. There I was,
a modern day Ghandhi, nearly
loin-cloth clad, trying to figure out how to
spend the rest of the night nearly nude.
Fortunately, after several tries, the
Davises were finally able to raise an
attendant from downstairs to come to my aid.
Welcome to India.
Tim and Jan Davis, Dr. Catlin Goss, and I
were commissioned to visit Salem, Tamil Nadu,
as part of a delegation from the Lake Forest
Park Rotary Club, and I, in addition, the
Presbyterian church where it meets. From the
start India represents stark contrasts.

Question: Where do the children go during their summer
vacation?
Many of the
children have extended relatives such as grandparents or aunts
and uncles. Many also have a mother who is widowed or
abandoned. These children go "home" to visit sometimes for
a few days and sometimes for a few weeks, depending on their
individual situation, during summer and Christmas break.
About 100 children don't have anywhere to go. Mrs Christy,
Neva and the staff at ICMC make sure these children get extra
attention, such picnic trip to somewhere cooler.
