The LORD himself will lead you and be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you, so do not lose courage or be afraid.” Deuteronomy 31:8

We are so thankful to the Lord for His wonderful protection over us throughout July 2007.

  • On the very first day of this month the Websters (who stayed here for one month helping us so much in various ways, especially in the child care department) left Salem.

  • On the second of July a Korean team of 17 members (University students) with a Bangalore guide arrived Salem. The next day 10 members came to the Promised Land from the United Nations. These students did painting and masonry work at the Promised Land.

  • Vaccination work was continued by Neva, our daughter, throughout this month.  After the third dose of vaccinations, she has arranged a dentist to come and screen all the children at all the sites.

  • The 15th of July was celebrated as “Educational Development Day” in all our schools and Teacher Training Institute.  In every school, children had a special flag hoisting. Special programs were conducted by the students.

  • We had an inspection at the Teacher Training Institute on 19.07.’07. Every item was checked and found correct. A good report was given to the government by the Inspection team.

  • All our ICMC staff members and Pastors were working so hard towards the 8th All India Pastors’ Conference throughout this month.

  • On the 21st of July Bright our son conducted a Youth Camp at Salem. Pastor Joshua was the speaker. It went well by His grace and every youth of ICMC was benefited by this Youth Camp.

  • On the same day itself Miss. Dolly, the beloved daughter of Mr.Nicholas Wainwright, our honourable President was married to Mr.Jim a Vicar in the UK. We served special meals with chicken on that day. It was a day of great joy to every ICMC family member.

  • Rev.Dr. Greg Fox, his wife Helen Fox and their son in law and daughter and 3 of their friends from Australia arrived the House of Peace on the 23rd of July. They were here until the 31st of July. Their visit was a great blessing to all of us.

  • I Mid Term Exam was conducted in all the schools from 23 to 30.07.’07. Our children have worked hard and have written their exams well. Please pray for their good results.

  • Three students of House of Peace got admission into our St. Grace Lilian Teacher Training Institute through Govt. counseling. It was great joy for them.

  • The 3rad Batch of St. Grace Lilian Teacher Training Institute was inaugurated on the 30th of July. It was a joy for every student of the Teacher Training Institute. Rev. Dr. & Mrs. Greg and Helen Fox and their team were the chief guests. The rank holders of the 1st year Board Examination of the Teacher Training Institute were honoured with cash prizes and other gifts. A special meal was served on that day.

  • 100 students are being given training at the Timothy school. We have appointed two more new teachers at the Timothy school.

  • One or two children at a time were being admitted throughout the end of July ’07 at the orphanage.

  • In all the village churches we had the worship service and other prayer meetings there.

  • Some of our children were affected by chicken pox and got cured by His grace.

  • During this month we had good rains.

  • Construction work and painting work were going on.

We are so grateful to all our sponsors for their involvement and affection towards the children of our orphanage.  Let His name by glorified in and through us.

God bless you all!

Yours in Him,

Mrs. J. Christy
